With a strong emphasis on community integration, health, wellness and volunteering, People Inc. develops programs that promote each person in their journey to reach their full potential. Twenty site-based Group Day Habilitation Programs and nine different Day Habilitation Without Walls (DHWW) sites throughout Erie and Niagara counties offer programs to fit each person’s needs and interests.

People Inc. Day Services Programs offer on-site activities as well as community involvement. Participants enjoy a selection of activities that range from gardening, dance, music and cooking, to creative projects and exercise. Physical assistance and Behavioral health supports are available as needed. All Day Habilitation Programs operate Monday through Friday. Arrival and dismissal times may vary by location.

Bailey Day Hab - Amherst, NY
Site-based day hab • GDH • Region: Central
Program Highlights: This program prides itself on its wide selection of outings and opportunities offered to participants. Each day is filled with recreational and volunteer activities!

The Arts Experience - Buffalo, NY 
Site-based day hab • GDH • Region: Central/City
Program Highlights: If you are looking for a program that specializes in the fine arts, this is the place for you! Self-expression is mastered through the arts; from music, drama, visual art and dance to creative writing and film study. The site has a working dance studio, a film-editing room and well-stocked art and writing space. Classes are facilitated by qualified artists and educators.

City CAPP – Buffalo, NY
Site-based day hab • Region: Central/City
Program Highlights: This program offers participants aged 21+ the ability to work on increasing their community independence and building skills to reach personal goals.  A strong emphasis is placed on volunteer work.  Each year, participants look forward to the annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon.

Elmwood Day Services - Buffalo, NY 
Site-based day hab • Region: City/Central
Program Highlights: Home to many innovative programs, including Our Voice, an in-house newsletter operated and supported by participants; and a Spanish/English bilingual group, just to name a few! Participants enjoy taking part in many unique projects and specialty groups that are going on, such as the “Corner Store."

Indian Church Day Hab - Buffalo, NY
Site-based day hab • Region: South
Program Highlights: Take part in activities ranging from cooking/baking, sensory, crafts, music and gardening! This program is a wonderful resource for those who need medical and physical accommodations.  
Note: Article 16 occupational and physical therapy available for those who qualify in addition to nursing supports.

Main Street Day Services - Buffalo, NY
Site-based day hab • Region: City/Central
Program Highlights: This site offers a wide selection of activities, ranging from dancing to cooking groups! Participants enjoy helping out and getting involved in projects to support local organizations. Some favorite events are the annual Thanksgiving Luncheon and Holiday Party!

Senior Day Services - Buffalo, NY
Site-based day hab • Region: Central
Program Highlights: This program caters to the needs of older adults with disabilities. Activities include Tai Chi, meditation, pet therapy, laughter yoga, bingo, cooking, baking, exercise, karaoke, poetry and much more!
Note: Article 16 offers occupational, physical and speech therapy for those who qualify.


Broadway Day Services - Cheektowaga, NY
GDH • Central/East
Program Highlights: At this program, on-site activities provide opportunities to enhance daily living skills by presenting people with a wide range of subject areas such as academic skills, social skills, and health and nutritional awareness.
Note: Article 16 offers speech therapy for those who qualify, in addition to nursing supports.


Lincoln Day Services - Depew, NY
Site-based day hab/DHWW • Region: East
Program Highlights: This site supports interests of those who like to be out and about! There are several community activities ranging from volunteering to recreational-based outings. Many participants love to learn and improve their technology skills in our Tech4Life Lab!

Agapé Day Hab - Hamburg, NY

Program Highlights: This program offers participants a wide range of options to become involved in their surrounding community, from volunteering to recreational activities!

Hamburg Day Services - Hamburg, NY
Site-based day hab • Region: South
Program Highlights:  If you enjoy arts and crafts, games, puzzles and music, this is the place for you! The site has a variety of rooms which can be customized to meet the needs of each person, as well as a outdoor area for all to enjoy. This site is a wonderful resource for those who have heightened behavioral health needs.

Orchard Park Day Services - Orchard Park, NY
Site-based day hab • Region: South
Program Highlights: Each group is geared to a different interest! Participants enjoy volunteering as well as taking part in a wide range of options from crafting and ceramics to learning how to cook! Orchard Park is also home to a community group that focuses on increasing community independence through volunteer work and other activities.

Brighton Park Day Hab - Tonawanda, NY
Site-based day hab • GDH • Region: North
Program Highlights: If you have an interest in gardening and ceramics, this is the place for you! Participants enjoy gardening at the in-program greenhouse, in addition to the backyard patio. Many also take part in making ceramics and volunteering throughout the local community.

Delaware CAPP – Tonawanda, NY

Program Highlights: This program offers participants aged 21+ the ability to work on increasing their community independence and building skills to reach personal goals.  A strong emphasis is placed on volunteer work.  Each year, participants look forward to the annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon.

Delaware Day Services - Tonawanda, NY 
Site-based day hab • Region: North
Program Highlights: If you are looking for a unique blend of activities, community outings and volunteer opportunities, this is the place for you! Participants look forward to the annual Car Wash and Fall Festival.

Park Place Day Services - Silver Creek, NY
Site-based day hab • Region: South
Program Highlights: Park Place is an active site that gives back to the local surrounding community including involvement in the local Chamber of Commerce and helping out with local events such as 5K events.
Note: Therapy supports available, including speech, occupational and physical therapies, in addition to nursing.


Southgate CAPP - West Seneca, NY

Program Highlights: This program offers participants aged 21+ the ability to work on increasing their community independence and building skills to reach personal goals.  A strong emphasis is placed on volunteer work.  Each year, participants look forward to the annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon.

This program offers a range of options to support each person’s needs and interests where they become active members of their communities through volunteer and recreational opportunities in a variety of locations in Erie and Niagara counties.

The Edge - Niagara Falls, NY 
DHWOW • Region: North
Program Highlights: Interacting with the local community with a focus on educational and community inclusion opportunities. Activities focus on informal art, exercise, cooking, use of the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Niagara Community Center and community interaction.  
Note: Nursing supports are not available. All participants must be able to self-administer medications.

Our agency offers a wide selection of options as outlined above. Program participants become active members of their communities through volunteer work and recreational opportunities. This program does not offer nursing or other medical supports. Participants must be independent with medication administration. Transportation may or may not be provided based on each DHWOW service. Personal Enrichment Program (PEP)

An alternative day habilitation program that provides a fun and safe environment to learn and grow for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Staff work with participants to achieve community-oriented goals. Goals are determined by the person’s interests and needs and may include socialization skills, budgeting and money transactions, community safety skills or learning how to make friends.
