Presented by WebArt Designs, the Buffalo Chili Fest will be held on Sunday, October 14, from 1 p.m.-5 p.m., at Statler City, 107 Delaware Avenue in Buffalo. Chili samples will be featured from some of Western New York’s finest restaurants. Proceeds from the event benefit People Inc., Western New York’s largest human service agency.

A variety of chili recipes can be tasted by attendees. Participating restaurants include: Buffalo Chophouse, Buffalo Fire Engine #34, BW’s BBQ, D’Arcy McGees, Irishman Pub and Eatery, KP’s Kitchen, Laughlins Beef and Barrel, Mr. Bones Family Restaurant, North Boston Fire Co., Roaming Buffalo, Siena and Statler City. In addition to chili, Grasso’s Pizza will serve tasty slices of pizza.

The event will include live music by local recording artist Holly Kay. Buffalo Bills fans will have the chance to watch the away game on multiple televisions. There will be a 50/50 split and raffles. Two new fun features have been added: Mini-Golf from Fun-Putt and a photo booth from Queen City Photo Booths has been donated for attendees to capture some fun group moments. Additionally, there will be an appearance by People Inc.’s Kids on the Block, an internationally acclaimed educational program promoting the awareness and acceptance of individual differences through the use of live puppet theater. The Tonawanda YES Group will entertain children with face painting and ballooning.

Local celebrity judges will determine the first, second and third prize winners; and there will be one special Peoples’ Choice award voted on by attendees. All attendees will be given a score card upon entering to select their favorite chili.

Sponsors of the event include Grandview Construction and Wegmans.

Admission is $5.00 per person. Kids age five and under are free. Tickets for chili samples will be sold for $1 each, along with special ticket packages. Event tickets may be purchased at and at the door. Walk-ins welcome. For more information, visit or call the People Inc. Foundation at 716-817-7251.
