People Inc. Chocolate Store Now Open
Bunnies Boulevard! Sponge Candy Island! You will find what you are looking for at the People Inc. Chocolate Store at Airport Plaza Jewelers - The Showroom. The store, located at 4230 Union Road in Cheektowaga, celebrated its opening with a ribbon cutting on April 7. Check out the event photos on Facebook! The store will be open until April 23 with various hours. Help raise awareness of People Inc.’s mission, while shopping for chocolate in an easy and affordable way! Make your chocolate purchases really count as 100% of the net proceeds benefit People Inc!

Airport Plaza Jewelers and its marketing division, Leg Up Marketing, have produced this limited-time TV show featuring the programs and services of People Inc. In conjunction with the Chocolate Fundraising Sale, People Inc. will host a Kid’s Day on Saturday, April 16, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at Airport Plaza Jewelers - The Showroom, located at 4230 Union Road in Cheektowaga. Stop by with your kids and grandkids and bring your camera!

The Museum of disABILITY History makes shopping easy with its online store open 24 hours a day! Shop for educational books for children and adults, stunning Braille jewelry, canvas totes and one-of-a-kind “People Made” items made by individuals participating in People Inc.’s day programs. The book written by People Inc. President and CEO James M. Boles, Ed.D. and published by People Ink Press, “Dr. Skinner’s Remarkable School for Colored, Deaf, Dumb, and Blind Children,” is available to purchase through the online store. Save the Date! The 7th Annual Film Festival and Speaker Series will be held on Thursday, October 13 at the University at Buffalo Center for the Arts in Amherst. The featured film will be “Where’s Molly?” A cocktail reception will be held at 6 p.m., followed by the film screening at 7 p.m. There will be a live performance by Sujeet Desai, a local professional musician and self-advocate.
