People Inc. Reacts to State of the State Address
Newly sworn in New York State Governor Andrew M. Cuomo gave his first State of the State Address on January 5. Governor Cuomo outlined numerous initiatives, including: emergency fiscal plan, rightsizing government, redesigning the Medicaid program, redesigning local governments and education, and providing mandate relief, among others. Representatives of People Inc.’s management team watched the State of the State Address closely and hopes to be a model to show government how to provide services more efficiently. People Inc. Public Affairs Director Kevin Horrigan said, “We would be excited to be at the table to talk with the powers that be about our model of services and they can learn from us.”
