| Tenant Celebrates Birthday Milestone at People Inc. Ivy Rose Senior Living
A lot of candles, but more importantly, there were a lot of smiles as Molly Hy was wished a happy 100th birthday! The tenant at People Inc. Ivy Rose Senior Living in North Buffalo celebrated her milestone birthday on September 4 at a party filled with music and laughter.
Molly moved to People Inc. Ivy Rose in April 2002. It is in close proximity to her devoted daughter, Ann, and accessible for the aide assistance that she needs. She enjoys listening to music and is a big fan of Frank Sinatra. At the party, local music entertainer Tony Pedulla sang some of her favorite Sinatra and other old school ballads. Happy Birthday, Molly!

Southtowns Career Fair
People Inc. is hosting a Career Fair on Saturday, September 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., 3763 Southwestern Boulevard in Orchard Park. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about People Inc.’s career opportunities including full and part-time group home, behavior technician, team leader, site supervisor, LPN and RN positions. While walk-ins are welcome, those who register for the Career Fair in advance through People Inc.’s website by September 24 can also book a guaranteed one-on-one meeting with a recruiter! | World premiere of Kelly's Hollywood at Museum of disABILITY History Film and Speaker Series People Inc.’s Museum of disABILITY History invites you to attend a movie premiere with Buffalo roots! The Museum of disABILITY History Film and Speaker Series will feature the exclusive world premiere of Kelly’s Hollywood, a film by writer, actor, director and producer Brian Donovan. The inspirational film is about a brother’s quest to fulfill his sister’s dream of becoming a Hollywood diva. Both Brian and Kelly were originally from Buffalo. Brian, a 1985 graduate of St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute, moved to Hollywood to pursue his acting career. Kelly spent her winter holidays there, pursuing her dream to become a star.

Movie Times: 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

| Golfing for a Cause
The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day filled with camaraderie at the 13th Annual People Inc. Drive Fore Disabilities Tournament held on August 18, at East Aurora Country Club. With 146 golfers and generous supporters, the event was a terrific success! Thanks to everyone who participated, this year’s net proceeds were over $92,000, and will benefit People Inc.’s mission to help those with disabling conditions to lead successful and independent lives. | Starlight Studio and Art Gallery to Present at Museum of disABILITY History
Calling all art enthusiasts…the next Person First Forum at the Museum of disABILITY History is for you! The presentation, “Six Minds - Two Ways to Beauty,” will be conducted by Carrie Marcotte, director of Starlight Studio and Art Gallery, and Maggie Parks, teaching artist. They will present two short films and a panel discussion with six artists concerning their creative work with local media arts company, Squeaky Wheel. Starlight Studios, a vibrant art studio and gallery located in downtown Buffalo, supports adults with disabilities in their artistic development. An exhibition of student art will also be on display during the event.

| Rivershore, Inc.’s 5th Annual Gala Dinner
Rivershore, Inc., an affiliate of People Inc., is hosting a Beatles-themed gala where guests can “Imagine” a world where people living with disabilities are accepted, loved and supported, just like everyone else. Maryalice Demler of WGRZ-TV Channel 2 will serve as emcee and world class jazz pianist, Matt Savage, will be the featured entertainer. All proceeds help Rivershore, Inc. carry out its mission of supporting people living with disabilities as they pursue and achieve meaningful lives.

| That’s Amore!
Lots of fun was had by all at the People Inc. Senior Living tenant luncheon on August 20! The banquet room was a perfect setting for an Italian themed party for 300 of People Inc.’s Senior Living tenants at Lucarelli’s Banquet Center in Lackawanna. It was fitting to serve the food “family style” as tenants often become close friends and get a chance to make new ones at the annual luncheon.
“Every year, the senior luncheon seems to get better and better and that’s due to the enormous amount of behind the scenes work that our staff do to make this a wonderful event,” shared Anna Korus, People Inc. senior vice president. “The faces of the seniors tell the story. There was more interaction, dancing and happy faces than ever before.”
