Adolescent Rehabilitative Services
Services that help to optimize the independence of adolescents, 10 years of age and older, at home, at school, and in the community through management of physical and psycho-social needs. Areas of attention include, but are not limited to: diagnosis of neurological/ neuromuscular disorders, medical monitoring related to diagnosis, spasticity (increased muscle tone), orthotics (bracing), educational issues and family support for the adolescent’s transition to adulthood. Children age 10 years and older are eligible.
Fees: Most insurance plans and private pay accepted.

Occupational Therapy
Helps people make the most of their abilities and encourages independence in activities of daily living. Our Occupational Therapists are experts in treating:
- Developmental and neurological disorders
- Orthopedic ailments and injuries
- Sensory, perceptual and cognitive disorders
- Stroke, traumatic brain injuries and amputation
- Ergonomic challenges and limitations in work and home settings
- Difficulties with self-care tasks
Physical Therapy
Helps maintain and restore functional abilities following injury, surgery or disease. Our Physical Therapists are experts in treating:
- Developmental and neurological disorders
- Orthopedic ailments and injuries
- Chronic and acute neck and back pain
- Impaired mobility, balance and gait dysfunction
- Stroke, traumatic brain injuries and amputation
Speech & Language Services
Our Speech-Language Pathologists diagnose and treat communication disorders. Our team specializes in speech language therapy for people with developmental disabilities, including experience with AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication) evaluations and therapy. Our clinicians are experts in treating:
- Developmental language delays
- Articulation disorders
- Traumatic brain injury
- Swallow function
- Fluency
- Auditory processing disorders
- Stroke/Aphasia
- Voice disorders
We also offer: Table-side swallow evaluations and evaluations for assistive and augmentative communication devices (e.g.Tobii-Dynavox, ProSlate, NovaChat, iPad with apps)
Mental Health Supports
Social Work & Counseling
The People Inc. team of licensed professional social workers provide trauma-informed treatment for children, adolescents, adults and families (including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities) using a person-centered approach. Individual, family and group therapies are available to treat a variety of needs, including:

Adaptive Equipment & Wheelchair Clinic
Our occupational and physical therapists team up with local vendors and RESNA certified Assistive Technology Practitioners (ATPs) to provide evaluations for adaptive equipment and wheelchair needs.
Adaptive equipment includes: items for positioning, accessibility and safety, for example, shower chairs, adaptive car seats, strollers and safety beds.
Wheelchair evaluations include: positioning, custom molded seating and pressure mapping. Adjustments to existing chairs and repairs are also offered.
Equipment trial, completion letters of medical justification and assistance with identifying funding sources (insurance/foundations) are available.
