    Haunted Frontier House in Lewiston to be Presented by Artisan's Edge

    Limited-time event supports people living with disabilities Artisan’s Edge of Rivershore, a division of People Inc., will host Haunted Frontier House this month at 460 Center Street, Lewiston. The limited-time event is from October 24 to 31, from 6 to 9 p.m. In the haunted house, Artisan’s Edge designers have crafted a unique Halloween horror, which includes scary scenes along with a “Chambers of Horror” and “Creepy Clinic.” Ages 10 and up are welcome with a $10 donation per person at the door. Groups are welcome and the location is accessible.  Proceeds of the Haunted Frontier House benefit Artisan’s Edge, a group of award-winning people living with disabilities, including musicians, vocalists, actors, painters, sculptors, potters and mixed media artists. Rivershore, a division of People Inc., supports people living with disabilities as they pursue and achieve a meaningful life. Founded in 1980, Rivershore provides residential services, life planning services, day services, support with self-advocacy and volunteer pursuits, along with Artisan’s Edge, an art and cultural program.

    Headway of Western New York 6th Annual Walk, Run & Wheel 5K

    Event to raise funds and awareness for individuals living with traumatic brain injuries and other disabilities   What:               Headway of Western New York Walk, Run and Wheel 5K  When:                           Sunday, September 13, 2015 Times:                         Check in/Packet Pickup at Templeton Landing from 8 to 8:45 a.m. Start time: 9:30 a.m. Where:                         Erie Basin Marina and Templeton Landing 2 Templeton Terrace Buffalo, NY   Headway of WNY, an affiliate of People Inc., is holding its Walk, Run & Wheel, 5K event along Buffalo’s waterfront to raise funds and awareness for individuals in our community who are living with traumatic brain injuries and other disabilities. The event allows participants the opportunity to walk, run or wheel along Buffalo’s waterfront. Presented by Feroleto Law, the event’s scenic course loops around Erie Basin Marina and continues up along Canalside and back to Templeton Landing.     Headway of Western New York Annual Walk, Run and Wheel 5K

    Raise awareness for those living with traumatic brain injuries and other disabilities What: Headway of Western New York “Walk, Run and Wheel 5K When: Sunday, October 7, 2012 Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and Walk begins at 9:30 a.m. Three mile scenic walk through Buffalo’s waterfront or do just one mile. Where: Erie Basin Marina at The Hatch The event course provides participants a journey along Buffalo’s majestic waterfront. A post-race party at The Hatch will include an award ceremony with food, beverages, music and an auction. Participants can run, walk or wheel the course. The goal of the fundraiser is to raise awareness for those living with traumatic brain injuries and other disabilities. Cost: $15.00 non-refundable registration fee; $25.00 day of event; children 10 and under are free. 5K route: Starts at the Hatch and goes around the waterfront, past First Niagara Center, down South Park to Michigan Ave to Scott Street and back to Erie Basin Marina.     Headway of Western New York Hosts 5th Annual Walk, Run and Wheel 5K

    Event to raise awareness for those living with traumatic brain injuries and other disabilities Headway of WNY will host its 5th Annual Walk, Run and Wheel 5K on September 7, 2014, at the Erie Basin Marina and The Hatch, in Buffalo. Registration and check-in begin at 8:30 a.m. with races commencing at 9:30 a.m. The cost is $20 to register.   The event allows participants the opportunity to walk, run or wheel along Buffalo’s beautiful waterfront. Post-race festivities will include a basket auction and live music. Refreshments will also be served.   Walkers are encouraged to form teams based on family, agency affiliation or company. There will be a prize this year for the team raising the most money, as well as first and second place prizes for individuals who bring in the most pledges.     Headway of Western New York Hosts Annual Spring Fundraiser

    Headway of WNY, a not-for-profit agency and an affiliate of People Inc., will host their annual fundraising event, “Moonlight on the Green” on Thursday, May 15, from 5:30 p.m.-9 p.m. It will be held at Westwood Country Club, Windows on the Green, 772 North Forest Road, Williamsville (corner of North Forest Road and Sheridan Drive). People Inc.’s Elmwood Health Center, which is celebrating 20 years of providing quality patient-centered care to Western New York, is the lead sponsor. The event features food, drink, a silent auction, a large basket raffle and live music.   Proceeds benefit Headway of WNY’s mission to ensure that individuals in WNY with brain injuries, other disabilities, and seniors have access to advocacy, resources and support systems to enable them to live as independently as possible in the community. The event is known for its unique 200+ baskets raffle. Tickets are $50 each Presale, and may be purchased online before May 14 by going to headwayofwny.org, or you may purchase tickets at the door for $55 each. Ticket price includes a buffet dinner, two hours open bar (beer, wine, soda), a silent auction, basket raffle and door prizes.     Headway of Western New York Hosts Annual Spring Fundraiser to Benefit People with Brain Injuries

    Headway of WNY will host its 18h Annual Spring Gala called “Unite and Move Forward at the Atrium” on Thursday, May 18, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Rich’s Atrium, 1 Robert Rich Way, Buffalo.  The event includes hors d’oeuvres, open and cash bar, more than 100 raffle baskets, silent auction, dinner and live music.  Pre-sale tickets costs $55 through May 16 and $60 on the day of the event.
